Tao of Jeet Kune Do : by Bruce Lee

Bruce lee for some time contemplated writing his philosophies down on paper, but there was no opportunity until he received a severe back injury and was hospitalized for six months. During those six months he wrote pages and pages of notes, sketches, and drawings about his philosophies of fighting. They are the only writings ever made about his art of Jeet Kune Do, there really are no other sources. The notes, sketches and drawings did not make a book. They were not published or even organised until the death of Bruce Lee, and they were organised by his wife and the publisher in a relatively ordered fashion. Beginning with a short letter of introduction from Bruce lee's wife about his martial art, and a Note from the publisher explaining the contents and order of the book, the book does not really teach fighting, but more of the nature of self and how one must think, act and move. It only opens the door to the reader to understanding Jeet Kune Do, to pass through the door, the reader must do himself. Jeet Kune Do is a book about self defense, the inner self, and the outer self. In summary it is a art in understanding oneself.
